Synopsis:

He's won the hearts of millions. But is he willing to lose his?
I met the president’s son when we were both young. Matthew Hamilton was handsome, polished, and intelligent. I’d never met a guy like him.
He promised me that he’d never run for president. I promised that if he did, I’d be by his side.
Three terms later, an invitation to join Matthew Hamilton’s campaign is the most exhilarating opportunity I’ve ever experienced. I'm determined to make a difference; he is determined to win.
Focused on his goal, Matt is steadfast, ruthless, and disarming. All eyes are on him and his popularity is surging. But soon, the next possible president of the United States is possessing me in more ways than one—and despite the risks, I'm helpless to resist.
We're stealing touches, stealing moments, and stealing away at night. But our chemical connection is quickly becoming dangerously combustive, putting not only my heart, but Matt's chance at the presidency on the line.
Winning will take everything. Walking away will be the hardest thing of all.

My Review:
Another amazing story from Katy Evans! I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!
I've read all of Katy's books, and loved all of them! But this book... I don't know, just perfect! I can't wait to read the next book in the series, Commander in Chief, it's coming early next year. Hurry Katy!! :)
"America wants a change. America wants to grow. America wants to be young and powerful again."
"Sadness is when you don't listen to those in pain until they're crying. You don't listen to those suffering because sometimes they're the ones most silent."
Charlotte is a likeable character. Her father was a senator, so she knew the political life. She met the President when she was 11 years old. The President brought his son, Matt too. He wanted his son to be a President. At that time Matt didn't want to be a President, he wanted a simple life, wanted a private life. But later his father was murdered and he changed his mind. The 11 year-old Charlotte decided to help him when he was going to run for presidency. And finally it happened. He started to work with him. She wanted him to be a President. She worked a lot, but she slowly fell in love with the sexy candidate.
"This woman not only makes me want to be a great man, she makes me want to be the best goddamn president that ever lived, She's what I never knew I wanted and have discovered that I need."~Matt
" I breathe to help him win-even if that means I won't ever, ever feel his arms around me like this again."~Charlotte
Matt is the perfect candidate, worked a lot because he wanted a change. While I was reading I felt that he would be a perfect President. The author made a perfect character. He was smart, hard working man, loved his country, and wanted to help the people, and of course he was hot, handsome too. First he didn't want anything, just the presidency. But later he fell for Charlotte too. But he saw what happened with his mother as a First Lady. And that a  President work too much to have a family. He didn't want it, he didn't want a wife, children. He just wanted to control the country, and didn't want anyone to suffer because of the lot of work which came with the presidency.
"We're all wild wolves who were fed at the doorstep too long and forgot how to hunt."~Matt
They became lovers and everything became harder. This was their secret. It was so interesting to read this book, and wait when their secret came to light. It was an emotional roller coaster.
"I've been trying to do the right thing. I fucking can't," he says. "Don't"
I loved them together. They were passionate together. Not just Charlotte fell for Matt, but Matt fell for Charlotte too. I think I have a new bookboyfriend!
"The few moments together that we've had, I was able to let loose with her. Be real with her. She's the only woman I've ever been  truly confident won't leave my bed and take our story to the press. The only girl I'm myself with, no mistrust there, no other agenda-not from me, and not from her."~Matt
"I'm jealous. I'm man enough to admit it. I'm jealous of any guy who can take you out, walk down the street with you in his arms."Matt
I understood Matt. I understood that he saw his mother suffer, and that he didn't have a normal family after his father became President. And because he loved Charlotte, he didn't wanted her a life like his mother's. So I got him, and loved him more because of this.
"You don't need to be anyone's afterthought. Not even the country's. I'm not doing that to you-don1t even ask me to. Not me, not anyone."~Matt
"Do you realize how difficult it is to give the last of the campaign my all, when I know that if I win, I lose you?"~Matt
And I totally understoond Charlotte. She loved him, but she didn't know what would happen if Matt became a president and they would be together.
"I want to tell him I'm willing to try, that I'd be willing to stand behind him, support him, not ask for more than he could give. Instead I'm afraid I'd be lying, that I really would have no idea what I'd be getting into, that I might resent him, and ache for this time and his attention, his love  and comfort, things a normal man would readily give the woman he loves."~Charlotte
I loved that Charlotte wasn't a week girl. Despite that she was only 22 , she was a grown intelligent woman. A perfect match to a man like Matt. I loved their flirting. :)
"C? Do you want me to call you M?" "No but I look forward to having a major hard-on the day you call me Mr. President..."
I can't wait to read more about them. I want them together so much! They need to be together.  I need a HEA!!
"My  mother says, sadly, that she doesn't think there has ever been a truly happy First Lady in the White House or a President capable of making one happy. He holds the most powerful office in the land but it's so consuming, love has no place in the White House."
